This November, Proton International London proudly marks its two-year anniversary of delivering cutting-edge cancer treatment. Partnering with the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH), it stands as one of only two private proton beam therapy (PBT) centres in the UK. Since opening in 2022, the centre has expanded cancer treatment possibilities for non-NHS UK and international patients, offering innovative care for a growing range of cancer types.
To celebrate this milestone, a reception was held, bringing together radiation oncologists, physicists, radiographers, dosimetrists, consultants, and key team members who have been instrumental in the centre’s success. The event highlighted the dedication and collaboration behind this world-class facility. Tina Dunworth, COO of Proton International, expressed her gratitude during the gathering, stating, “I am immensely proud of what we have achieved over the past two years. Each member of our remarkable team has played a crucial role in advancing cancer care.
Tina added: “Our ability to deliver life-changing treatments, is a testament to the incredible work being done here. On a personal note, I take particular pride in the fact that we have facilitated care for patients worldwide.”
Proton International London at UCLH continues to lead the way in pioneering advanced cancer treatments, providing more patients with access to proton beam therapy and expanding its capabilities to treat an even broader range of cancers. As the centre grows, so does its mission to improve outcomes and deliver hope to those affected by cancer worldwide.
